Eileen Jackson, France

 
Eileen is based in Paris, France.  As a dramaturge/director, her recent creations include Rumors by Neil Simon, The Rose Tattoo by Tennessee Williams, Nude with Violin by Noël Coward, Ichi-go Ichi-e (after Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest), and Les Belles by Michel Tremblay, which were performed in Paris, France.   She writes, leads workshops, and works as movement coach. In 2008, she founded a physical theatre training programme. She attended the Ecoles Jacques Lecoq and Théâtre Ecole du Passage and has trained under Monika Pagneux, Ariane Mnouchkine, Magenia Mime and the Roy Hart.  In 2012, she participated in the making of the film and book, Inside/Outside about the life and work of Monika Pagneux.  She has a Ph.D. in Theatre Studies from Trinity College, Dublin.  She is currently preparing a series of international interdisciplinary workshops.    
 
Un-telling the Text - Lyricism in Performance

Explore the lyricism of poetic texts to liberate the stories within words.  Improvising on sound and texture of words through breath, rhythm and movement. Wear comfortable clothes. Participants are invited to work barefoot or to wear light gym shoes.  Bring water.
